This is a loving and nurturing environment. In our baby room we create opportunities for all of the babies to learn through play. We encourage development through a range of activities including sensory play, story time, music sessions and baby yoga. We also have outdoor time including walks and day trips to the zoo and beach.
In the Tweenie room we offer a variety of activities to stimulate and encourage the children's learning through play. We love going out on trips with the children to explore and exercise. Our room is very child led and our topics and outings reflect this as they are chosen through the children's current interests.
In the Toddler room we choose monthly topics based on the observations and interests of the children. These topics include activities such as arts & crafts, day trips, role play and messy play. A lot of our time is spent promoting the toddlers social skills and supporting their learning. This is done through songs & rhymes, reading stories, dance, outdoor play and listening to the children's own ideas and thoughts during circle time.
The Pre School is for our children aged 3 - 5 years. This is where we begin the curriculum for Excellence, learning all sorts of exciting things in preparation for transition to school. We are a very active class, taking part in drama, dance, yoga and swimming on a regular basis, as well as daily outdoor activities. We recognise the importance of learning through real life experiences and children are actively involved in planing the learning process.
