Welcome to Early Days Nursery at Old Coates House

At Old Coates House, in addition to literacy and numeracy, we also love getting involved with drama, music and science to name a few.  Outdoor learning is of great importance to the children’s development and we take full advantage of the wealth of outdoor space on our doorstep, including the church yard and local areas such as Dean Galleries.  We often enjoy our yoga and ball skills outdoors as well as getting away to the forest each week for forest schools.  

Our Rooms

Pre School is our first step on the journey towards school life and this is where we begin to engage with a Curriculum for Excellence. The children plan with their teachers to ensure that their interests are followed and linked to the curriculum and staff plan engaging activities that allow the children to experience a breadth and depth of learning.
