The Independent Schools Guide

We had some lovely coverage in The Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday Independent Schools Guide over the weekend.

A few fantastic features, lots of lovely pictures and Meet the Heads interview with Maureen – have a little read.

If You Go Down To The Woods…

The children at Doune Terrace Nursery are having so much fun on their Forest School days.

Steve, our outdoor activities and PE Specialist, is fantastic and provides opportunities for the children to engage with nature, learn new skills and discover the world through outdoor play.

Forest School has a holistic approach to child development having an overall positive impact on the children.

They just love the outdoors!

We’re Roaming In The Rainforest

The preschool children at Melville Street are loving their new rainforest topic, so much so, we have turned our room into a rainforest!

We have learned that rainforest trees have different layers so have been researching what animals live in each layer.  We then brought this to life by making our very own rainforest tree to house our animals.

Once we gathered different facts about some of the animals, we have been putting our findings into our very own animal fact book, illustrated by the children.

I think you will agree, the room looks fab!

Home Is Where The Heart Is!

The toddlers at Early Days are enjoying their new topic – All About Me.

We have been using arts and crafts to build little versions of our homes, and talking all about the different kind of family that we live with – we are learning so much about our friends.

We have also been looking in the mirror and drawing pictures of ourselves – don’t we look great!
