Weekly Recipes – Chocolate and Banana Loaf



110g self raising flour

140g caster sugar (reduce sugar if desired)

140g butter

30g cocoa powder

2 bananas

2 eggs




Preheat oven to 180° (160° fan oven)

Grease and line with baking paper  a 2 lb loaf tin.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, slowly add the eggs beating in a little at a time.

Mix in mashed bananas.

Sift the flour and cocoa powder and add in 2 batches folding the flour/cocoa mix in until combined.

Pour into the loaf tin and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.

Decorate with chocolate shavings or walnuts slice and serve.
