Early Days Nurseries were lucky enough to be invited to Prestonfield Golf Club last week for a golf session.
The children spent some time on the putting green incorporating the intrinsic motor skills of balance, aim and distance control. They also learned some technical skills of putter control and basic technique.
This was followed by a walk to the main practice area where, after a small demonstration of chipping, the children had the chance to try out some hand eye coordination and weight- transfer for themselves.
It was a fun afternoon filled with games and competitions, and you never know, it may have just set some of the boys and girls off on a path to win The Open one day!
Thank you to Scott Clark and Chris Algeo for a great day and a fantastic opportunity.
The children at Doune Terrace Nursery had so much fun carving pumpkins for Halloween this week.
We loved exploring the pumpkins, and enjoyed getting to see and feel what was inside them.
Lots of hard work was put into creating our designs, and we were all very proud of our finished lanterns.
The pre school children at Walker Street Nursery took a trip to the Botanic Gardens to go on a Halloween hunt.
We had to follow a map to find all the ingredients needed for a magic potion!
The children had so much fun running around, it was a lovely, if a little bit spooky day out.
With Halloween on its way, the toddlers at Walker Street Nursery decided to take a spooky trip to Butterfly World.
The children were very brave looking at all the creepy crawlies
We saw snakes, a centipede, a big hairy spider and lots of other interesting insects and animals.
Our own little monsters then shook off all that creepiness and had some fun in the play park!
