With a bit of a cold snap on the way, the toddlers at Early Days have been looking at Winter clothing.
They have been developing their self help skills by dressing themselves in cosy hats and gloves – don’t they look great!
The Toddlers at Early Days have been having a fabulously festive time over the last week.
They had so much fun at the Christmas party and loved meeting Santa. It was very magical and he, of course, had special gifts for each and every little one.
Then there was Christmas lunch – turkey and all the trimmings! The boys and girls thought it was so tasty and now can’t wait to celebrate it all again with their families on the 25th December… 5 sleeps to go!
The Toddlers at Walker Street had a fantastic time at their Christmas Party last week.
We had songs and games, not to mention a visit from the man himself!
The children all looked fantastic in their party outfits and were so excited to receive an early Christmas gift from Santa.
What a wonderful day!
Our Melville Street children popped along to drop off the presents for the Mission Christmas appeal this week.
We spoke to the children about what the appeal means and why we are doing it.
They are all very proud of the fact that they are helping other children, and so are we!
Early Days Nurseries are proud to sponsor the Santa Toddle this Sunday, the 4th December, as part of this years Christmas Charity Festival.
Santa will make his grand entrance to Inverleith Park at 1pm, pulled along on his magnificent sleigh by his favourite reindeer and accompanied by The George Watson Pipes and Drums. Santa believers of all ages are welcome to come along and are encouraged to register for the Santa Toddle at 1.30pm in order to support the nominated charities. All small participants will receive a medal, certificate and goodie bag to thank them for their efforts.
This year, Early Days have chosen the Joshua Nolan Foundation, SIMBA & Meningitis Research Foundation as the beneficiaries of the sponsored toddle and representatives from each of these organisations will also be in attendance.
Join in on what promises to be a magical weekend and do your bit to bring ‘that little bit more’ to those who need help this Christmas.
The toddlers at Melville Street have been talking about owls and are fascinated with the fact that owls wake just when we are going to bed!
We have been excited to look at different parts of an owl’s body and are also looking at an owls habitat.
In the run up to Children in Need on Friday, Walker Street pre school have been learning about children that aren’t as lucky as us, and how by raising money, we are able to help them.
We decided that baking cakes and selling them to all the parents was a great way to raise money, and have lots of fun at the same time!
We made lots of tasty treats for everyone to enjoy – Yum!
After seeing all the fireworks at the beginning of the month, the Pre School Children at Walker Street were excited to find out a bit more about Guy Fawkes night.
We created our very own fireworks display pictures with lots of bright colours.
It was so much fun splashing the paints around and I’m sure you’ll agree, the end result is wonderful!
