I hope you have all had a lovely week and are looking forward to the weekend.
We have been reviewing our policies and I would like to give you a little update on our medication policy.
If your child has any allergies or requires long term medication for example Piriton/inhaler, this must be prescribed by the doctor or minor ailments and can be brought into the nursery. A medication form must be completed by the room supervisor and parents and then signed by the manager and parent before being kept in the nursery. The details of the prescription e.g. dosage required, MUST match the medication form you complete for us. The room supervisors will review this every 3 month to ensure that all information is correct and is still in date.
If your child requires antibiotics, we ask that you keep them at home for 24 hours after receiving their first dose. Your child can then come back to nursery if they are well enough and at our discretion, we can then administer antibiotics at nursery if needed.
If your child’s dietary/allergy requirements change, please can I ask that you inform the nursery as soon as they do change to allow us to update our records. We must receive written confirmation of this change and your key worker will update your child’s care plan.
I have attached our medication policy for you to review.
I have attached this year’s Events Calendar for you so you can pop some dates into your diaries. We will obviously need to wait on guidance over the next couple of months, but I thought it would be good to put some provisional dates in your diary.
Pick Up Times
I have noticed that there is quite a lot of congestion outside when you are coming to collect your children from nursery. I am reviewing this and looking at how we can try ease this in the evenings. Can I please remind all parents that if there are parents in the basement downstairs to stay at the top of the steps until it is clear? I am looking into bringing your child’s buggies upstairs before pick up time so this will be a little easier for you.
Congratulations to Carmen who has completed her college course. A huge well done Carmen!
I am pleased to welcome our new member of staff Yasmin Osbourne who will be joining our Tweenie Room team next week. Yasmin has had lots of experience working with children in early years and she is very excited to meet you all.
Ruxi and Chloe are on holiday next week therefore the staff in your child’s room will take observations of their key children and will provide you with feedback on your child’s online journal.
